Events & Health Education
Throughout the year at St. Joseph Village of Chicago,
many different special events are offered to the residents, as well
as to those residing outside the community. One week might feature
a senior exercise program and the next might feature a guest speaker
sharing his or her expertise regarding hip and knee replacement.
Then, later in the month, there might be a holiday barbeque with
live music, a choir performance in the chapel or any of the other
countless fun, relaxing and educational events that are regularly
scheduled at St. Joseph Village of Chicago.
In addition, we believe that seniors can
benefit greatly by learning more about the benefits of exercise,
positive aging and other health-related
matters. That's why we will use this valuable space to share important
health education with you.

Scams & ID Theft Seminar
St. Joseph Village of Chicago
Monday, May 5th, 5 p.m.
Illinois has the fifth highest incidence of identity theft in the country and it continues to rise in the Midwest. Victims of identity theft spend more than 600 hours to restore their credit and legal fees can run from $800 to $40,000. Unfortunately, older adults are often prime targets of identity theft and other scams. A representative from the state’s attorney’s office will share ways in which seniors can prevent being a victim.
